Description

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 GT GXP Complete Remote Flip Key.

This is a quality key without the GM price tag or packaging. It's from one of GM's sources.

Comes complete with transponder chip and remote inside so all you have to do is program it and cut it and you are good to go!

AWESOME!!!
After the dealership "stole" my flipkey disguising it as a recall, I have wanted this key. Well, my wish finally came true. I finally bought it. I knew a locksmith nearby who did laser cutting. Took the key in and in 10 min it was cut. He came out, programmed it to my car (took an entire 10 sec) I brought the key home, programmed the fob like the video shows and that's it. It works great. I am very happy.

Allow me to answer some of the questions I had along the way.
1) This remote does come with a battery.
2) You can program more than 2 keys for your car(perhaps to have backups).

Also keep in mind, the reason that these keys got recalled in the first place is from random incidences of them unlocking from the flipped open position while driving.(If this happens, the car shuts off, which can be scary if your on the freeway). It might be a good idea to invest in a good quick release so that you can use this key without the weight of anything else that's on your keyring. I think we all know someone whose keyring has like 20 keys, 14 keychains, a bottle opener, pictures of their kids, a flashlight, a couple of flashdrives, a pocket knife, etc. (ok, maybe not THAT much, but you get the idea)

Hope this helps in your decision process. Plus, the fact that it is HALF of the price of one from a dealer, and if you tell the dealer you have a G8, they won't sell it to you. (At least mine wouldn't)
