This is a direct replacement upgrade for Pontiac G8 cars that have swapped in a 2010-2015 Camaro Posi Rear.
Carbon Steel 2010 - 2015 Camaro SS Posi 8.6 Steel Clutch Disc and Shim Rebuild Kits. This comprehensive kit is a direct replacement for GM Part Number 92230606. Unlike the GM Composite Clutch Kits, our kits also include 12 shims for adjustable preload (2 of each in the following thickness: .010, .015, .020, .025, .030, and .035). The kit also contains 14 Carbon Steel Friction Clutch Discs with more contact area than stock. Also included is a new S-Spring that replaces the problematic factory Belleville springs. All clutch discs feature full friction contact surfaces. These kits are 100% US made, from the steel to the tooling. The metal was tested for Rockwell hardness and it specs out the same as the factory steel clutch discs from the 60s Camaro, Chevelle, Nova and Impala 12 Bolt Posi Units. The cross hatch surface pattern (like a Chevy 12 bolt clutch) was used because this pattern offers superior lubrication which will enhance the life of the clutch.
This kit has been fully tested and proven on the street, at the dragstrip, and on roadcourse environments. This kit has been proven to provide superior grip while maintaining the comfort level of stock Posi units.
